Things I could do whilst waiting for the toaster…

 Whilst I love toast, especially when it’s drizzled and drenched in butter, waiting for the toaster can be a bind. Here’s a few things to do whilst waiting for your toast to pop up- 

Knit a cardigan 
Write a novel
Grow a beard
Run a marathon 
Do my food shop
Change my car engine 
Mow Old Trafford Cricket Ground
Drive to London… and back 
Rewrite my University dissertation 
Build a house (on my own) 
Read War and Peace
Read the Bible
Watch the whole of Breaking Bad
Watch Get Back
Listen to the whole of the Beatles’ back catalogue
Try to unfathom Boris’ thinking and actions
Become a doctor
Become an architect 
Become an accountant 
Create an antidote to becoming an accountant 
Paint my fence (2 coats)
Watch paint dry
Watch my grass grow
Bake a new loaf for tomorrow’s toast
Milk a cow
Churn the milk into butter
Make an decorate a plate
Build a table
Sand all of my skirting doors
Undercoat my skirting boards
Gloss my skirting boards (2 coats) 
Redecorate my bedroom
Redecorate my kitchen 
Retile the bathroom
Remove the hair from all the plug holes 
Watch my towels dry 
Put them away
Vacuum my whole house 
 Or very simply…
Drum my fingers for two minutes thinking of this silly list!

Fly Bite to the ear

 I keep titling these writings as 'a tiring day' which most of them are. I am absolutely exhausted and I just don't know how I will make it to the end of term. But I will- I will. Just take one day at a time like I normally do. Behaviour is getting alot more challenging to manage as the days go on. I want to change things up a bit but an still wary of covering all of the stuff that needs doing.   No walk for me tonight. I read my current book- Boy in the Tower by Polly Ho-Yen. It is a really interesting story about a boy battling several things as the book progresses. His mum seemingly is in the throws of a debilitating bout of depression and buildings all around his are falling to the ground, literally falling, and nobody can explain why. I've read alot of young persons' fiction recently. Out for a walk

 Walking has become my daily activity. I feel it calms me down and gives me a great opportunity to listen to one of the many podcasts of which I am a fan of.  I can honest say I always feel one hundred percent better after a walk. I usually aim for approximately an hour’s walk which usually ends up being about 3 miles. For this year I have set myself the challenge to walk 1000 miles. That’s actually going for walks- not my general walking about.  Last year I did 810 miles which I was proud of, but also I was disappointed not to reach the magical four figures.  So far I am 240 miles in. I’m a little bit behind where I should be- approximately 12 miles behind, but I am confident that I will catch that up over summer.

New bed- at last!

 We bought a new bed today. Well, not the whole bed, just the mattress. I actually don’t mind spending on a mattress for a couple of reasons.  One- it will last up to 15 years. If I play my cards right, I may retire before the bed runs out! Hmmm that’s a quite early retirement I can tell you.  Two- it’s an investment in your well being.
